Tonight, in the King Charles Hotel, UMSA held its second ever Activities Awards. At this gathering, volunteers and society members received a range of awards for their achievements and hard work for this academic year, including Stand out Certificates and Society awards.
As we had informed you a while ago, the Music Society had received nominations for a number of awards and I’m pleased to let you know that we won in the ‘Society of the Year’ and ‘Most Improved Society’ categories. As well as this, myself and President for this year Mr Sacre picked up individual rewards for ‘Personality of the Year’ and ‘Outstanding Contribution’ respectively.
We greatly appreciate all the nominations and votes we received – we’re very proud of what we’ve achieved so far and are confident that not only will we maintain the standard of our society, but better it next year.
Must also a mention a HUGE congratulations to all of the other volunteers and society members that got involved in any way this year. UMSA has seen a significant growth in campus activities this year and this is expected to further increase in the new academic year.
